Vindoo Dara Singh wants to roll around in his Chevrolet Cruz and be a bad guy.
After t
he Big Boss 3 winner was formally given his automotive prize by Chevrolet for his victorious performance on the popular Indian reality show, Singh told reporters, in an interview last weekend, that he wants to return to playing villainous roles on the big screen, just like he did in Kambakkht Ishq and Mujhse Shaadi Karoge.
“I want to play a complete Bollywood villain now,” the 45-year-old television and film star told the press. “I have been doing negative roles in TV serials and films earlier, and I want to get back to that.”
It may not be too long before Vindoo, who is the son of famed Indian wrestler Dara Singh, finds himself in his desired role as a cinematic villain, as the actor has reportedly received several thespian offers since being declared the latest Bigg Boss winner last December.
“Since the show, I am getting an offer each day, but I cannot do everything,” Vindoo told the press. “I have three films in hand right now — one in Punjabi.”
While he struggles to sift through offers and find that ideal bad-guy role, Vindoo will probably be rolling from audition to audition in his new Chevrolet Cruze (Cruise), which he was awarded as a result of his Bigg Boss victory about three months ago.
At a weekend ceremony, Vindoo was given the key to his new car by a Chevrolet representative.
“It is like a dream-come-true for me to win a brand new Chevy Cruze through this contest,” the actor announced at the reception where he accepted his prize.
Vindoo outlasted 13 contestants in the latest season of Bigg Boss, prevailing over model Pravesh Rana and Bollywood actress Poonam Dhillon en route to claiming a $200,000 cash prize in addition to the Chevrolet.
The show featured Vindo and 12 other contestants undergoing round-the-clock surveillance during a grueling three-month ordeal in the Big Boss house.
